Home Cheese Making Workshops

For the last 13 years Barry Lillywhite has been running an average of 6 cheese making workshops per year. As an expert cheese maker with a passion for the science and art of food, Barry is the perfect guide to learning to make artisan cheese in your own kitchen.

We run one and two day courses in which you will learn to make a variety of cheeses in your own home. Courses run in multiple locations including Braidwood, Wagga Wagga, Coolamon and other locations on request with a suitable number of participants.

For more information contact our helpful team so we can help tailor the perfect course to meet your needs.

School Curriculum-based Cheese Making Workshops

Our team has two main passions; cheese and education. We have combined these passions to develop a cheese making workshop based on the school curriculum. These workshops can be run both in and out of school and cater for kids of any age within the school system. Students will gain a greater appreciation and understanding of science, food production and where their food comes from.

During the day students will be divided into groups and guided through the process of making a batch of cheese. They will learn the theory behind cheese making and the importance of hygiene to food production. We will then take their cheese and mature them for a month or two before returning to conduct a tasting. Here students can sample their own cheeses to gain an understanding of how important process and hygiene is to creating a quality end product.

This authentic learning opportunity allows students to gain a deeper understanding of how their schooling translates into real life. For more information, or to book a cheese making workshop for your students, please contact our friendly and helpful team.
